Many expected important players like Elias Lindholm or Mark Scheifele, but three reporters made surprising picks.

Jesse Granger, who's covering the Golden Knights, believes Alex Martinez is likely to get traded. The reporter added that the Knights probably aren't looking to part ways with a player, but Martinez, 36, would likely be the first one to leave.

Jonas Siegel thinks that the Toronto Maple Leafs should trace Conor Timmins.
The defenseman only has a year left on his $1 million contract, but he likely won't make the team this season. Don't be surprised if Brad Treliving decides to trade him for a pick or a prospect.

Pierre-Olivier Joseph will be traded by the Penguins, according to Rob Rossi.

The reporter believes that Kyle Dubas will include him in a trade package to land an important player.
