Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes has just confirmed the worst news possible for Paul Byron.

Hughes would like to keep Byron with the Canadiens and stated that they will be working on finding him a role with the development staff.

Byron played 7 years for the Canadiens and has been with the team for the past 8 years. Throughout his NHL career, he has registered 98 goals and 208 points in 521 career games split between the Canadiens, Flames, and Sabres.
