It's always sad when a young player has to stop practicing the sport they love because of an injury or a medical condition.
Unfortunately, that's what seems to be happening with Rodion Amirov, a first-round pick in 2020.
Is Amirov Done with Hockey?

According to Kyle Cush, Amirov, who was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs as the 15th overall pick in 2020, won't be able to continue playing.
Back in 2022, he received a concerning diagnosis of a brain tumor. Now, it looks like he might never play hockey again.

Important Loss for the Leafs
The Maple Leafs are losing a promising prospect, who had hopes of playing in the NHL soon.
Amirov played only ten games last season in the KHL and hasn't played since.
It's sad that he has to stop playing hockey, but it's even more heartbreaking that a 21-year-old needs to battle for his life.
Do you think the Leafs should get a compensatory draft pick?
