A police report has surfaced showing exactly why Alex Galchenyuk's contract was terminated today. He will likely be out of the NHL for a while.
Galchenyuk Arrested in a Hit-and-Run
When Alex Galchenyuk had his contract terminated today, nobody knew why, other than some off-ice issues.
We now know that those off-ice issues were serious, as he was involved in a police altercation earlier.
NEWS: Scottsdale Police Department has confirmed to The Athletic that Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on July 9 on a number of charges including private property hit and run, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, resisting arrest, Threatening or Intimidating
The Coyotes signed the former third overall pick at the beginning of free agency.
