According to ESPN analyst Kevin Weekes, the New Jersey Devils have traded 26-year old goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood to the San Jose Sharks for a 6th round pick.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario native was drafted round 2, 42nd overall by the Devils back in 2015, and has amassed a .906 save percentage in 152 career games played with a record of 65-57-18.
Blackwood's Injury Woes

MacKenzie Blackwood has struggled to stay healthy throughout the entirety of his career, limiting him to just 47 games total over the last 2 seasons.
His last > .900 save percentage season was during the 2020/21 campaign, where he finished with a .902% and a record of 14-17-4
