BREAKING: Maple Leafs Sell for an Insane Amount
There's been a major announcement concerning the Leafs' owenership in the last few minutes.
Leafs to Sell Shares at Insane Price
According to Sportico, the Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment Chariment Larry Tanenbaum is currently in the process of selling his share of the company, estimated at $8B.
The stake will be bought by the Canadian Pension fund OMERS. We're talking about 25% of MLSE, who owns the Leafs, the Raptors, the Toronto FC and the Argonauts.
