In a somewhat expected turn of events,
Pierre-Luc Dubois and his agent have requested a trade from the Winnipeg Jets. It's long been expected that Dubois wouldn't stick with the Jets long-term, but it has been all but confirmed that he won't return next season.
Dubois' Agent Lays Down The Hammer
Trusted NHL insider Pierre LeBrun is reporting that Dubois and his agent have officially demanded a trade from Winnipeg. According to LeBrun's report, Dubois won't be on the Jets' roster come next season.
«Our understanding is Pat Brisson has informed the Winnipeg Jets that his client isn't inclined to sign an extension this summer not even a 1-yr bridge, Pat Brisson would like to work with the Jets on a trade for Dubois to another team»
Well, there's not much ambiguity there. It's pretty clear that Dubois wants out and with his long-rumored preferred destination being his hometown Canadiens, it should make for an interesting summer.
What do you think, will Dubois be a Canadien by next season?
