Mike Babcock has been a controversial figure in the NHL community for some time now but appears to be making his return after not coaching since 2019 when he was with the Leafs.
NHL insider Darren Drager dropped this bombshell just now:
Babcock to Columbus will offer the Blue Jackets some new form of stability in the coaching realm. They have found success under other strict coaches like John Tortorella.
This could be a move that changes their future as a franchise and likely will result in the young Blue Jackets team making the playoffs within the next three years.
