There is a lot of speculation about what is next for Mackenzie Blackwood. Once viewed as the savior of Devil's hockey, he has not quite lived up to the hype. His best seasons were his first couple and he has been declining since due to injuries.

Now, Blackwood has fans split as they think he could still be a quality goaltender at the NHL level but needs to stay healthy and consistent.


In a recent article for NJ Hockey Now, Devils beat writer James Nichols predicted six locations for Blackwood to land.


While I am not going to go into all six as I think you should read the article too, I will share the most intriguing location.

Winnipeg?

The Jets are an interesting place for Blackwood. It is heavily rumored that they are looking to trade their star goalie Connor Hellebuyck, Nichols believes the Devils and Jets could be trade partners that sends Hellebuyck to New Jersey.
