Corey Perry is not what he used to be but he is still quite serviceable. At 38 years old, he is still kicking it and looks to lace up for the 2023-24 season.

However, he will likely not be resigning in Tampa per NHL insider Elliotte Friedman

There are now many speculating on whether or not he will finally work something out with Toronto.


Some backstory on Perry and Toronto:


It would be nice for the Peterborough native to finish off his career with his hometown team surrounded by family.

Perry will certainly want to play for the Leafs but also help lead them to the elusive Stanley Cup which he has hoisted. Later in his career though, from 2020-2022, he lost in the cup finals three years in a row and certainly wants to get another crack at it to end his career on a good note.
