BREAKING: Jaccob Slavin Heads to the Locker Room After Scary Hit by Sam Bennett
Carolina's Jacob Slavin has found himself on the receiving end of a massive hit by Florida's Sam Bennett and has been sent back to the locker room.
Slavin Appears to be Shaken Up
As Jacob Slavin corralled the puck behind his own net, he never saw a vicious Sam Bennett steamrolling towards him, before getting knocked to the ground. The incident left Slavin on the ice for an extended period of time, taking a minute to gather his surroundings before getting up.
Shortly after, Slavin headed off to Carolina's locker room for further examination by the team's medical staff and has not since returned to the game. His status is unknown at this time, and things aren't looking good.
Hopefully Slavin is ok. Hits like this can seriously injure a player, and we hope he's able to return tonight.
