After the cross-check to the face of
Mark Stone,
Jamie Benn will be facing supplemental discipline from NHL Player Safety.
Jamie Benn Suspended For Cross-Check on Stone
Jamie Benn made an unnecessary and dangerous play that intended to hurt Vegas captain
Mark Stone. The Stars captain made this just mere minutes into game 3 down 2-0 in the series.
This play resulted in Benn getting ejected and was a key turning point in the Stars' 4-0 loss to the Golden Knights.
Just now, NHL Player Safety announced how much more discipline Benn would face.
Being suspended for two games, Benn will likely be suspended for the rest of the playoffs given how the Stars are facing elimination.
This is truly unacceptable behavior from the Dallas captain and he should be stripped of his captaincy this offseason in favor of a younger and more mature player.
