A member of the Hartford Wolf Pack collapsed in a playoff match against the Hershey Bears.
Anton Blidh, who is on a two-way contract with the New York Rangers, after being traded from the Avalanche earlier this year, collapsed with under 3 minutes left to play in the first period.
Blidh, who has 84 career NHL Games, was helped off the ice with a stretcher, having been unable to apparently leave the ice on his own ability.
Hartford and Hershey went to an early intermission, and the final 2:39 of the first was decided to be added on to the second period.

Blidh astonishingly returned to the game in the second period, having been given medical attention, according to the Wolf Pack's Twitter.

Many unfortunate incidents such as these have occurred in hockey, and thankfully, the best outcome was had.
Do you believe hockey is safe enough?
