Boston Bruins forward AJ Greer to have hearing after dirty cross check

George Parros announced on Friday morning that AJ Greer would be summoned for a hearing later in the day, following a busy Thursday night of hockey. During the Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins game, Greer delivered a cross check to Mike Hoffman's face during a face-off, causing Hoffman to stagger and resulting in Greer's ejection from the game.



Despite the five-minute major penalty, the Bruins only gave up one goal and won the game 4-2. It is expected that Greer will likely receive a two-game suspension, which is consistent with other suspensions handed out this season.
