Brad Marchand reveals why he deleted his Twitter account

Brad Marchand's twitter account was pure gold. And now it's gone.

Roasting fans, calling out the NHL, and some of the most unhinged online activity from a public figure of all-time. Love him or hate him, Marchand's tweets were super hot fire.

So when he deleted his account on Wednesday, it came as a shock to many. The speculation was that the Bruins forward took his account down to focus on the postseason, which is just three weeks away. According to Marchand, that is not the reason for the decision.

For those who aren't active on Twitter, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk purchased the platform and has made a handful of controversial changes in the opening stanza.

One such policy change was adding a paid-tier of Twitter; basically paid verification. A maneuver which earned due criticism, as it was unprecedented in the space.

Elon's decision has split the Twitter-verse in two, and it's clear on which side of the fence Marchand falls.
