It seems Carson Briere, son of former NHLer and current interim GM of the Philadelphia Flyers Danny Briere, may be facing consequences for his actions over the weekend. Briere was allegedly caught on camera pushing a wheelchair down a flights of stairs at what appeared to be a party. Here's the video:
Briere's University, Mercyhurst, has now released a statement promising a full investigation of the incident.
"Late this afternoon, Mercyhurst University became aware of a disturbing video in which one of our student athletes is seen pushing an unoccupied wheelchair down a flight of stairs at a local establishment. Our office of Student Student Conduct and Department of Police and Safety are investigating."
There are reports the wheelchair was there because a disabled student was attending the party. It's an awful look for Briere and the University. Briere is a member of the university's men's hockey team. The chair appears to break due to the impact of the fall down the stairs.
Update: Danny Briere and son respond to allegations surrounding wheelchair incident
