Canucks ink 29-year-old forward to multi-year extension

The Vancouver Canucks announced on Sunday that they've agreed to terms on a two-year, two-way contract extension with 29-year-old forward Phillip Di Giuseppe. According to CapFriendly, Di Giuseppe's contract is worth $1.55 million ($775,000 AAV).
"We are excited to have agreed to terms with Phillip for another two seasons," said Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin. "He has been a reliable forward when called upon in Vancouver this year and has been an impactful player and leader with Abbotsford each of the past two seasons."
Di Giuseppe, a native of Toronto (Ontario), is in his second season with the Canucks organization and has appeared in 13 games with the big club this season, putting up four points (two goals, two assists), four penalty minutes and is a minus-six.
The former second-round pick of the Hurricanes in 2012 has appeared in 214 games across parts of seven seasons in the NHL with Carolina, Nashville, the New York Rangers and Vancouver.
