They don't call him the sheriff for nothing. Arber Xhekaj of the Montreal Canadiens was up to his usual antics Sunday afternoon in a game against the Edmonton Oilers. A scrum broke out near Montreal's net in the third period, with Xhekaj and Vincent Desharnais breaking away from the group in full fight mode. At one point, Xhekaj appears to land a huge haymaker on Desharnais, but the fight would end there with Xhekaj immediately making his way to the dressing room. The speculation is he either hurt his hand on the big punch, or separated his shoulder while taking the swing. Either way, it didn't look good.
The Canadiens have since announced Xhekaj won't return to the game.
