Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has had a difficult journey in the 2022-23 season, first suffering a stroke in November - from which he returned a week later. Letang's father - Claude Fouquet - then passed away to start the new year.

One can only imagine the personal grief associated with those types of trauma stacked on top of each other. Letang's teammates made an incredible gesture in support of him and his family that just shows how tight that group of players is.

They weren't the only ones to show support for the veteran defender, though. During warmups before Thursday's matchup between the Penguins and the Washington Capitals, Alexander Ovechkin made sure to offer Letang his condolences:
