Back in the fall,
Erik Karlsson said that he was happy with being a San Jose Shark and was fully invested in the team after trade rumours started to circulate.
With only six weeks to go until the National Hockey League's trade deadline, Karlsson reiterated his desire to win when talking about a potential move before March 3rd.
"I will never sway from that: I want to win," Karlsson said. "I think as you get older and you've been around for a longer time, you realize it's not as easy as it looks and you gotta hit it at the right time. Obviously if it does happen, then I hope that I do."
The 32-year-old is having an incredible season so far, recording 62 points (15 goals, 47 assists), ten penalty minutes and is a minus-five in 46 games with the Sharks.
If Karlsson is dealt before the March 3rd deadline, the Sharks will have to eat a portion of his $11.5 million salary, which he is owed for four more years after the 2022-23 season.
