Goaltender Louis Domingue rips into car manufacturer: 'WORST company out there'

It's not often you see a professional hockey player rip into a company in a public forum, but goaltender Louis Domingue is doing just that. Domingue, who is under contract with the New York Rangers but playing in the AHL right now, took to his Twitter account to let everyone know that, in his opinion, they should never by a Tesla.

"You want my advice people, NEVER buy a Tesla," said Domingue. "They are by far the WORST company out there + their cars are made of plastic and you'll be on a first name basis with the mechanic cause the car is always in the shop."

Domingue followed his statement with the thumbs down and clown face emojis.

Once considered the darling of the EV industry, things have been rocky lately for Tesla and its owner Elon Musk. Musk's foray into purchasing Twitter seems to have been met with as many jeers as it did cheers, while Tesla stock has been dropping. The car company cut prices at the beginning of this year in an attempt to get more Tesla's on the streets. It's too early to know yet if that has had a major impact, although early reports suggest demand has increased in the United States.
