Going back to the game after a surgery is far from easy. Imagine going back to the game after three surgeries in the same season. This is the feat Brent Seabrook of the Chicago Blackhawks is currently accomplishing.

Yesterday, he skated for the first time in a very long time in the Blackhawks' facilities. He took part in the non-contact phase 2 training exercises. The 35-year-old Seabrook had chosen to take a hockey break to treat shoulder and thigh injuries rather than continuing to play injured.

His recovery was estimated at 5 or 6 months and he was to be absent for the rest of the season. But now COVID-19 offers him a second chance. He could be useful to Jeremy Colliton for the qualifying round.

The veteran was only able to play 32 games with Chicago in 2019-20. He totalised four points during that streak. The Blackhawks will need their best ammo to beat McDavid and Draisaitl in the NHL qualifying round.
