Early on Thursday, the Vancouver Canucks announced that forward
Tanner Pearson's season was over after undergoing a second hand surgery after an initial procedure in November.
According to Canucks Insider Rick Dhaliwal, there is some 'tea' there, which is shorthand for drama, gossip, etc. although he neglected to divulge the details - for now.
On the Donnie & Dhali program, Dhaliwal said: "He should have been put 4 weeks, now he's going to be out 6 months. Something drastically went wrong here."
Dhaliwal's undertone heavily suggests there is some sort of rift between player and team on this matter, but given the sensitive nature of injuries/medical procedures he carefully addressed it.
However, he directly stated that something went awry here, so this could be a situation to monitor going forward.
