For the second time this week, the Winnipeg Jets have placed a forward on the waiver wire. According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Jets have put Michael Eyssimont on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the American Hockey League.

Eyssimont, 26, was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 2016. After three years in college with St. Cloud State, he signed with the Kings and spent the next four seasons with their AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign.

The Littleton (Colorado) native joined the Jets organization in 2021 after becoming a free agent.

In 19 games this season for the Jets, Eyssimont has five points (one goal, four assists), seven penalty minutes and is a plus-five. He scored his first career NHL goal on November 21st against the Carolina Hurricanes.
