Per general manager John Chayka, the Arizona Coyotes have signed 23-year-old defenceman Dysin Mayo to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will begin at the start of the 2020-21 season.

The Victoria, British Columbia native has spent the last four seasons playing for the Coyotes organization, the majority of which has been in the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners. In 58 games this season, Mayo posted four goals and eight assists in 58 games, along with a very impressive plus minus rating of +24. In total for his professional career, he has played in 221 AHL regular season games, scoring 12 goals and adding 26 assists. He also appeared in 25 ECHL games during the 2016-17 season, where he put up one goal and 15 assists.

Mayo has been a part of the Coyotes organization since he was selected in the fifth round (133 overall) at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. At that time, he was a member of the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL, who he ended up spending four seasons with.
