Kobe Bryant is being honored once again, following his tragic passing earlier this year, as he will be gracing the cover of NBA 2K21's "Mamba Forever" editions. On Thursday, NBA 2K released the official covers for the game, immortalizing the man they called "Mamba".

Though Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers is the cover athlete for the standard version of the game, and Zion Williamson is on the cover of the 2K's Next Gen edition, it seemed like the right thing to do for the NBA 2K video game franchise to honor one of the greatest players to ever play the game by creating a special edition specifically for Mamba to pay homage to the 4th-highest scoring player in NBA history.

Bryant (33,643 pts) sits behind only LeBron James, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar all-time.

Bryant played his entire 20-year career with the Lakers from 1996-97 to 2015-16.
