Peyton Krebs Plants Taylor Hall and Drops the Gloves w/ Connor Clifton

The Buffalo Sabres and their fans have a lot to like with the state of their hockey club at the moment. 18-14-2 to start '22-23, the past decade of toil and turmoil is finally shaping up into an enjoyable product, especially because of guys like Tage Thompson, Rasmus Dahlin, Owen Power and the several other talented youngsters their roster boasts.

One guy who is perhaps overshadowed by Tage Thompson, Owen Power, and the like is Peyton Krebs. Drafted 17th overall in 2019, Krebs came to Buffalo via the Jack Eichel trade, and in 89 NHL games he has just 31 points. While he doesn't light the lamp like crazy, he plays a well-rounded game, and occasionally he does things like this:

Can't have enough players on your team who play physically and fire up the team. If Krebs can continue playing physically - like this - and elevate his scoring a touch, he will prove to be a solid addition to the Sabres' organization.

After all, when you're traded for a superstar-calibre player like Jack Eichel, it can be difficult to live up to the imagined standard fans sometimes conjure.
