Goaltender Chris Driedger of the Seattle Kraken has yet to play this season, but he'll look spiffy when his imminent return to the game happens. Driedger hit the ice for practice earlier this week sporting a brand new mask that pays tribute to Seattle's best-known musical movement.

Driedger's new mask features legendary Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain on one side. Cobain had a huge hand in popularizing grunge it in the early 90s. The opposite side of the mask features Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. Vedder has a special connection to Chicago, as he was born and raised in a suburb of the city. However, Pearl Jam is synonymous with the grunge movement that started in Seattle and is considered one of the main acts of the era.

The top of Driedger's helmet features the neck of a guitar with the Seattle skyline on either side. In a departure from the grunge theme, the back plate of the helmet features Grogu, or Baby Yoda, from the Mandalorian, as well as Rafiki from the Lion King. The prase "Hakuna Matata" from the Lion King movie, which means no worries, is stenciled underneath Rafiki.

The mask was painted by David Gunnarsson of DaveArt. It was shared on Twitter by Driedger.
