Aleksander Barkov involved in court battle against mother of child
If you weren't aware that Aleksander Barkov had a child, you can be forgiven. It appears very few people were aware and it seems that's exactly the way Barkov wanted it. The child, Aleksander Barkov Jr., was born in December of 2021, but Barkov himself has said nothing about the child in public. Now, the Panthers' captain is involved in a legal battle withh the mother of his child.
According to Seiska.fi in Finland, Barkov has filed court action against the mother in a Florida court over custody of the child, as well as child support. Barkov is requesting a "parenting plan" that would include a parenting schedule and joint custody.
There was a photo posted to social media of the baby back in June where Barkov's mother was the one holding him. This was also posted to the mother's Instagram account, but it appears it has been removed.
There was also an Instagram post from the mother calling out Barkov for allegedly not contacting his child on Thanksgiving. That was also eventually taken down and the mother's Instagram account has now been set to private.
