One thing that really bothers me - and many fans - is when referee/linesman break up a fight between two willing participants before it even starts. Brad Marchand and Phillip Danault got in a wresting match and both appeared to be ready and willing to throw hands.
I get that player safety is probably on the official's mind, but you've got to let 'em go here. A) because it would have been wildly entertaining and B) I've got a blog to run over here.
It's like they don't even care!
The incident - in overtime - was avoided, and the game went to a shootout. Kings forward Trevor Moore, who signed a 5-year, $21 million contract earlier today, scored the shootout winner in storybook fashion.
