Tage Thompson's ascent from promising prospect to elite sniper happened seemingly overnight. After a strong campaign in '21-22, Thompson signed a seven-year, $50 million this summer - with one year still on his entry-level deal - and that looks like the steal of the decade all of a sudden.
Thompson finished Wednesday night's game against the Blue Jackets with 5 goals and 1 assist, putting his season totals at 21g-19a-40pts in 26 games. That's good enough for 4th in the NHL.
