After missing the first 23 games of the 2022-23 campaign, Anthony Cirelli will make his season debut on Saturday night. The 25-year-old led the stretches at the morning skate and given stick taps by his teammates.
The Woodbridge (Ontario) native underwent shoulder surgery in the off-season and was set to miss four-to-six months, but was able to make a return in just under five months.
Cirelli had a strong 2021-22 season and was one point behind tying his career-high. In 76 games, he had 43 points (17 goals, 26 assists), 70 penalty minutes and was a plus-15.
Puck drop for Cirelli's return is set for 7 p.m. ET and can be viewed on Sportsnet in Canada as well as the NHL Network and Bally Sports Sun in the United States.
