Patrik Laine Snipes His Former Team in His First Game Back from Injury

Even though the Columbus Blue Jackets stink out loud, the connection of Johnny Gaudreau and Patrik Laine was always going to be special. Unfortunately, Patrik Laine is one of many Jackets' players to fall prey to injury in the early goings of 2022-23.

In his first game back, he looked like he hadn't skipped a beat, as he received a cross-ice feed and snapped it in the blink of an eye. And he absolutely sniped David Rittich with hardly any room on the short side. A brilliant shot.

Big Save Dave couldn't have done much more on that one; still like to see him have it if you are a Jets fan, but that was just a pinpoint laser from Laine off of a great feed from Gaudreau.
