The New York Rangers have not played well at all in the last few weeks, losing eight of their last 12 games. On Monday, the Rangers were dealt another loss, this time to their rivals, the New Jersey Devils, by a score of 5-3.

Following the game, Rangers netminder Igor Shesterkin was very critical of his own play, going as far as calling it 'shit'.

"The goalie played a shit game again," Shesterkin said following the loss."

He added, "Every goal is easy play for me. I have to stop those. If our team wants to win the game, I have to play better."

Despite the team's struggles in recent weeks, Shesterkin's numbers are still relatively solid. In 17 games, the Moscow native has a 10-4-3 record with a 2.56 GAA, a .913 save percentage and one shutout.

The Rangers will look to avoid losing four straight when they take on the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night for the first-half of a home-and-home series. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
