Tyson Jost, placed on waivers on Friday, has been claimed off the wire by the Buffalo Sabres, per Darren Dreger.
-
Jost, 24, was traded to Minnesota from Colorado before last season's playoffs. In 354 NHL games, the former 10th-overall pick has managed 112 points for the Avs and the Wild.
Buffalo, whose hot start has been completely erased by their current 7-game losing streak, could use the help and must be comfortable taking a flyer on the talented forward.
The Sabres are scheduled to play in Toronto tonight, but a brutal snowstorm has placed the game in jeopardy. Whether or not the game is played & if Jost suits up remains to be determined.
