Buffalo Sabres May Have to Forfeit Tomorrow's Game If NHL Doesn't Reschedule
Due to a massive snowstorm rocking Buffalo and Western New York, the NHL is at risk of having to postpone tomorrow's contest between Toronto and the Sabres. The Leafs have said that they've received no word on any contingencies, which could lead to the Sabres forfeiting the game.
The game is schedule in Toronto, so the hiccup would be the Sabres being able to safely travel over the border. The Buffalo Bills of the NFL had their game moved to Detroit as a result, so the NHL could be expected to make some accommodation.
Given Alter's report, though, it's possible that the Sabres will A) need to figure it out on their own or B) have forfeit.
Not exactly an enviable position.
