Lucas Raymond's tenure in the NHL has been a resounding success. In 92 games for Detroit, the former 4th overall pick has 62 points and 24 PIMs, and he finished fourth in Calder voting in his rookie campaign. In tandem with Moritz Seider, Raymond has shown that the Red Wings do have some legitimate players in their system.

During today's matinee against the Detroit Red Wings, Raymond has been all over the place. To start the scoreless second period, Raymond first leveled Islanders' star Mat Barzal, inciting a chaotic scrum:

The only penalty to come from the scrum was assessed to NYI forward Oliver Wahlstrom, who took two-for-roughing Raymond in retaliation for the hit on Barzal. Less than a minute later, Isles' defenseman Adam Pelech took a hooking penalty on Raymond, sending the Red Wings to a two-man advantage. And guess who buried the powerplay goal for Detroit:

What a total effort from Raymond. What can't this kid do?
