Detroit Red Wings forward Matt Luff probably wants to forget what happened during Saturday night's game against the Minnesota Wild.
The 25-year-old was in his own zone early on in the third period of Saturday's game, covering the point, when he takes a puck in the face courtesy of Wild defenceman Matt Dumba.
Luff went down immediately, the trainer came out to check on him and he skated off to the Red Wings' dressing room. Luff did not return, but is expected to be okay, other than the fat lip he'll likely have tomorrow morning.
As Mickey Redmond says, this game moves so fast. Hoping that Matt Luff is all right. #LGRW | @ThinkFordFirst @Matt_Luff25 pic.twitter.com/aP7r55ZQXf— Bally Sports Detroit (@BallySportsDET) October 30, 2022
