While many things remain up in the air during these unprecedented times in the NHL--when will free agency start, what's happening with the draft, etc.--one thing that is remaining in place is the deadline for players who were drafted but never signed entry-level contracts with their clubs. There are 43 players currently on the list who will lose their signing rights if they don't ink a deal by Monday, June 1st at 5 PM ET.

Simply put, you aren't going to find any big names on this list. If it was felt these players would have an immediate impact with their clubs, they would have been signed by now, barring any dispute with their teams over terms of the contract. Still, for those who follow their favourite team and prospects closely, there are some recognizable names. The complete list comes from Cap Friendly on Twitter.

According to this article in Forbes, "Teams that draft a player from a European club have exclusive rights to sign the player to a contract for four years. However, if the player is from a North American club, the NHL team has only two years of exclusive rights." Players who do not sign contracts within this time frame are either unrestricted free agents, or can choose to re-enter the NHL draft.
