The Washington Capitals announced today that forward Connor Brown will miss considerable time to a lower-body injury, sustained after a hit from Vancouver's Noah Juulsen.
-
Whether or not Brown requires surgery is yet to be determined, however the issue is clearly on his right leg, as shown by the video of the injury.
-
No timetable has been released for his return, simply a 'long-term' tag. For now, Brown's $3.6 million cap-hit is headed to long-term injured reserve along with Carl Hagelin.
-
Brown was acquired by Washington from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a second-round pick in the upcoming NHL Draft. In four games with the Caps, Brown has zero points, a -3 rating, and a busted leg.
Rough start with the new club.
