It is October 1, which means hockey season is officially upon us. The real 'most wonderful time of the year,' all of our favorite teams are making final cuts to their rosters, we are getting the first taste of what our favorite stars have worked on all summer, and most importantly: we are drafting our fantasy hockey teams.

The true test of one's acumen for shot-calling an NHL hockey team, fantasy hockey is the coliseum in which fortunes are made -- and lost. For some, it is just a free way to interact with some of their favorite players; for others, Fantasy is a ruthless cog in a larger gambling addiction shared among friends. You know, the healthy kind of addiction.
