Battle of Alberta in Midseason Form, Nurse Lays Big Hit and Fights Twice (VIDEO)

Even in preseason, these two teams do not like one another, there is some bad blood, and that will not change any time soon.

Darnell Nurse leveled Dillon Dube at the Oilers' blue line, to which Mitchell McLain took exception. McLain had 113 PIMs in 76 AHL games last season, so he is used to this sort of work.

The first fight clearly did not go the way either side had hoped, so the two opted for a rematch. A solid fight, no clear winner, no clear loser.


Well, Nurse is going to make over $9 million next season while McLain is not even an AHL contract with the Flames, according to CapFriendly. So in that sense, there is a clear winner and loser. But it was a good fight.
