The New York Rangers announced yesterday that they have signed goaltender Tyler Wall to a entry-level contract. The deal will begin at the start of the 2020-21 season.

Wall,22, played in 32 games for UMass-Lowell, posting a 2.10 goals against average (GAA) and a .931 save percentage (SV%). Those numbers were good enough for him to be named to the Hockey East Third All-Star Team this season. His 18 wins this season accounted for all of his teams wins.

Wall also allowed two goals or fewer in 22 of his 32 games played this season, including one goal or less in eight games. He was voted the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week on six different occasions during this past season. Over his entire four-year college career, the 6-foot-3 goaltender put up a 58-34-10 record, along with a 2.28 GAA and a .918 SV%.

The Ontario born goalie was selected in the sixth-round (174th) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
