The Bell Centre has been the loudest building in hockey for two weeks, and one fan apparently took the "anything goes" energy a little too literally Saturday night.

A clip went viral Sunday morning showing a young woman vaping inside the Bell Centre with security standing right next to her. Nobody intervened.

That's the kind of moment that summarizes the entire energy of this series. The Sabres-Canadiens second round has produced one viral clip after another, and the building itself is now part of the story.

The Habs lost Game 6 in Montreal on Saturday. The series is going to seven games. Monday's elimination night lands in Buffalo, and the city is preparing accordingly.

The Sabres have been the underdog story of this round. Lindy Ruff is patching a lineup together with Sam Carrick scratched and Jason Zucker hurt.

St-Louis and the Habs need Game 7 to match the building's energy

The vaping clip is funny in isolation. It's also a side effect of the kind of crowd this series is generating. People are stretched thin. Emotions run hot. Rules get bent.

That's not unique to one building. Every Game 7 in NHL history has produced its share of fan moments.

The bigger story is what happens on the ice. Cole Caufield's frustration boiled over in Game 6, and the cameras caught it.

The 25-year-old sniper has 1 goal across 11 playoff games at minus-5, despite a 51-goal regular season.

Ivan Demidov finally broke through with his first career playoff goal in Game 5. The 20-year-old Russian rookie generated chances all series before the puck finally crossed the line.

Phillip Danault and Mike Matheson have been doing the dirty work in the defensive zone. Juraj Slafkovsky leads the team in playoff power play goals.

What's missing is the elite-level finishing from Caufield.

Game 7 is the chance to fix that.
