Mario Lemieux Foundation to hold NHL 94 Tournament for charity

As announced via Twitter on Wednesday by NHL Hall of Famer and Pittsburgh Penguins owner Mario Lemieux, his foundation has teamed up with NHL94.com to host an NHL ‘94 Tournament, with proceeds going to the foundations efforts in cancer research and patient care.

The tournament, dubbed the SoChel Distancing NHL ‘94 Tournament, will be held exclusively online. Registration for the tournament will be held beginning May 8th, and close on May 30th, with the contests being held on June 6th and 13th.

The tournament will cost an entry fee of $19.94 (fittingly) and the fees will be donated to the Lemieux Foundation as they continue their work in cancer research and patient care.
