Is there an offer sheet in Anthony Mantha's future?

Though the NHL's 19-20 season remains suspended due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the speculation on what next year's line ups may look like is still in full force.

One name that's been on everybody's tongues, primarily in both Detroit and Montreal; Anthony Mantha.

The 25-year-old former first round pick from the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has been solid for the Red Wings since his debut, amassing 173 points (84G, 89A) through 260 career games with the red and white.

Now, however, after five years with the Red Wings organization, Mantha is set to become an Restricted Free Agent (RFA) following the conclusion of the 19-29 season.

With a prowess for the back of the net with a struggling Red Wings organization, accumulating 24 goals through the 17-18 season, then another 25 through 18-19, and pacing for 30 again this season, it begs the question;

Where will Anthony Mantha suit your next year?

While Detroit, where Mantha has called home since the 2015 season, is obviously an option that's on the table, the potential of an offer sheet is also a looming possibility.

Though nothing has been confirmed by the NHL, one team in particular being speculated, the Montreal Canadiens.

As the Habs have drudged through the season in the middle of the pack, bouncing in and out of a playoff spot, the idea of adding a 20+ goal scorer to their forward depth certainly couldn't hurt.

Again, this is purely hypothetical, but the possibility of Montreal issuing an offer sheet, similar to the one offered to Sebastian Aho last year, certainly doesn't seem out of the question.
