As announced by Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon on Wednesday, the organization has signed forward Nicolas Roy to a two-year contract extension. The contract will yield an AAV of $750,000.

Roy was acquired by the Golden Knights in a trade for Erik Haula following the end of the 18-19 season.

Roy, who helped lead the Charlotte Checkers to a Calder Cup Championship in 2019, made his Golden Knight's debut and scored his first NHL goal on October 27th, 2019 against the Anaheim Ducks.

Following his debut, Roy would play in 28 games for the VGK through the 19-20 season, prior to it's suspension on March 12th.

Through his 28 games, Roy would amass 10 points. In addition to his NHL points, Roy would record 7 goals and 15 assists in 27 games with the AHL's Chicago Wolves.
