“I want to thank the Chicago Blackhawks' entire organization, from top to bottom, especially including the fans. The 2010 championship was the highlight of my career,” Versteeg said in a press release.
In total, Versteeg played in 643 regular season games, putting up 149 goals and 358 points. He also played in 93 playoff games, scoring 18 goals and adding 30 assists. He won two Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks, one in 2010 and the other coming in 2015. He played a crucial role in the 2010 Championship, putting up 14 points in 22 games.
Versteeg also had stints with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings, and the Calgary Flames.
