Baseball legend David Ortiz has pledged to give medical workers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston, a gift of a lifetime by giving four seats for life to Boston Red Sox home games.

"I've got to tell you guys from the very bottom of my heart how much I love you and respect you for what you guys are doing," Ortiz said towards health workers on an appearance on "Some Good News with John Krasinski."

"Taking your life, taking your time, that's something that goes beyond everything."

On the show, Krasinski then began to lead the medical workers to Fenway Park via "the most sanitized duck boat in America."

The health professionals threw out the first ceremonial pitch of the season after watching videos on the jumbotron of the mayor of Boston, the governor of Massachusetts, and the entire Red Sox team applauding them.

Major League Baseball has been suspended since March 12 to help flattten the curve and prevent transmission of COVID-19 virus.
