Terrible news from Alabama today. Tarvaris Jackson, an ex NFL quarterback, died in a car accident last night. He was 36.

A spokesperson from Tennessee confirmed the news to ESPN. The former Minnesota second-round pick played 10 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, the Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks.

He led the Vikings to an 8-4 record in 2007 and started a playoff game in 2008, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles.
He played his best season with the Seahawks in 2011, where he completed 271 passes for 3,091 yards and 14 touchdowns.

He retired in 2018 and was since last year the quarterback coach of Tennessee State University.

His former teammate Russell Wilson, with whom he won a Super Bowl as a backup in 2013, reacted on Twitter saying that Jackson will be missed. He added "Praying for your family...Love you man "
